He married #1 Delilah Glover on January 23, 1850 in Robeson Co., NC, and after her death, he married #2 Minnie E. Watson in Texas in 1900. He was 71 years old and his wife was 28 when they got married. Andrew Jackson Baggett was a Baptist preacher and a book salesman in Texas , he fathered three children with his second wife, the first child born in 1901, and the second in 1903, and the last child was born in 1905 when Andrew was 77 years old.
Neal Baggett, born May 1831 and died in Milam County , Texas sometime after 1910. He married Rosella Baxley of Robeson Co., NC on December 29, 1867 . During the Civil War, he served in Company A, 31 st North Carolina Regiment of the Confederate States Army, entering on duty May 3, 1863 at age 33.

Mary Jane Baggett, born 1838, married Eli Kinlaw in Robeson Co., NC on March 26, 1861 . It is believed she died in Robeson Co.

After he migrated to south Texas he married #2, Permelia/Pamilia/Purmelia (several variations of spelling found) McLaughlin of Austin Co., TX. Permelia is the older sister of Sidney Ann McLaughlin, wife of Samuel B. Baggett (see below). During the Civil War, he served in Company A, 31 st North Carolina Regiment of the Confederate States Army, entering on duty September 7, 1861 at age 19.
